Synopsis: He was the most beautiful man alive.
And if I wasn't careful, he was going to be my death.
*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Psyche and Eros that's as sinful as it is sweet.*
In the ultra-modern city of Olympus, there's always a price to pay. Psyche knew she'd have to face Aphrodite's ire eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake...or for Aphrodite's gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the killing blow.
Eros has no problem shedding blood. But when it comes time to take out his latest target, he can't do it. Confused by his reaction to Psyche, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: he marries her. Psyche vows to make Eros's life a living hell until they find a way out of this mess. But as lines blur and loyalties shift, she realizes he might take her heart after all...and she's not sure she can survive the loss
Review: First and foremost the narrators for this audio really brought these two incredibly sexy and sensual characters to life. This book is hot, hot, hot! I obsessed with this plus-size, dark haired, hazel-eyed goddess that is Psyche. But not only is she absolutely gorgeous but she's brilliant. She's a social media master and can spin any tale. Eros is just a sad man who needs love and has plenty of it to give even though he doesn't think he deserves it or knows how. The dynamic between these two characters is so enigmatic from the first second they share a page to the very last. There is never a second of down time between the constant strategizing of the two, to the super sexy intimate scenes between them. This book has everything I love in a Dark Olympus novel; parties, fabulous clothes, an incredibly interesting cast of characters, and of course a twisting and turning story with an incredible climax, no pun intended. Giving this 5 stars is just not enough for me to declare how much I love this book so it's only fair that I give it infinity stars!!!
